Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Interpretation, analysis and cultural, historical, aesthetic and literary elements of Classical Turkish Literature texts in the 13th-16th centuries.
Course Content: Text interpretations, 13-16th century texts, literary movements of the period, text commentary according to these movements, comparison of poets.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Can penetrate the contents of Divan literature texts.
2) Can comprehend the holistic development of literature in historical period.
3) Can gains the ability to understand the texts of Dîvân literature which is described as difficult and incomprehensible.
4) Can learn text annotation methods.
5) Can interpret texts according to these methods.
