Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to analyze the effects of content produced in digital media, including textual, visual, video, infographic, emoji, and symbolic forms, on individual and societal life. In this context, the ways in which algorithms on digital platforms guide individual decision-making mechanisms will be examined in terms of media messaging and impact techniques. The course will also address the use of verification and validation platforms, rights and responsibilities within the framework of digital citizenship, and measures to combat digital hate speech, cyberbullying, and cyber harassment. Additionally, the course will focus on social media literacy and strategies for dealing with potential threats encountered in the digital world. |
Course Content: | The digital media literacy course covers various topics aimed at enabling participants to understand digital content, evaluate it from a critical perspective, and use it effectively. The course will address the historical development of digital media, digital content analysis, forms of critical thinking, digital security and privacy, ethics and responsibility, and digital citizenship. Additionally, the current state of digital media literacy activities in Turkey and around the world will be presented. In this context, participants will develop their competencies to engage more consciously and effectively in the digital media landscape. |

11) When there is a problem with optical materials in the optician laboratory or establishment, she/he understands and fixes the problem. | |||||||||||||||
