Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to integrate the knowledge, attitudes, and skills acquired by the student during their education with the fundamental roles and functions of nursing. Within the scope of medical-surgical nursing, the course aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge, attitudes, and skills to protect and promote the health of adult individuals and to provide evidence-based care in situations where health is compromised. |
Course Content: | The course covers common chronic diseases, fluid and electrolyte balance, pain management, elderly health, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, neurological, neoplastic, endocrine, hematological, and infectious diseases, as well as the nursing care associated with these conditions, both globally and in our country. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To be able to know the concepts, principles and rules related to internal medicine nursing 2) To be able to synthesize the knowledge gained in other courses along with the theoretical knowledge gained in the field of Internal Medicine Nursing 3) To be able to see the individual with internal diseases as a whole as a physical, psychological and social whole 4) To be able to use the nursing process effectively in the care of the individual with internal diseases problem 5) To be able to use problem solving skill effectively in cases requiring nursing care in internal diseases |
