Course Objectives:

The aim of this course is; To support the technical competencies of students with various field knowledge such as business administration, management and entrepreneurship.

Course Content:

Opticianry establishment location analysis, Creating an investment project, Opening procedures of opticianship establishments, Authority and responsibility within the scope of laws and regulations in opticianship establishments, SSI and official institution contracts, Service contracts, Legal and criminal responsibilities, Commercial documents used in opticianship establishments, Recruitment of personnel, termination, compensation, contract, job security, personnel training, Rights and responsibilities of employers and employees, Effects of store physical conditions (lighting, design, product presentation areas, etc.) on patients' purchasing behavior, Optical institution selection criteria of patients. Why should you choose me?, Effective sales techniques in opticianry and patient behavior, product costs, expenses and turnover calculation, advertising activities in optical institutions, advertising restrictions, selection of business partners and points to consider

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Able to determine the appropriate location to open an optician's office.
2) Will be familiar with the opening procedures within the scope of the law and regulations.
3) Will have information about personnel and employer responsibilities, legal rights, compensation, termination, etc.

10) She/He reads the prescriptions prepared by the ophthalmologist, supplies the optical equipment, selects the most suitable glass and frame for the patient, and performs the most appropriate glasses assembly procedures in order to eliminate or alleviate vision disorders.
11) When there is a problem with optical materials in the optician laboratory or establishment, she/he understands and fixes the problem.
12) Obtains the knowledge of history belonging to the Ottoman and Republican Periods.
13) Learns Turkish language structure and acquires a basic level of English grammer that will enable her/him to communicate.
