Course Objectives: THE AIM OF THIS COURSE IS TO ENSURE THAT STUDENTS GAIN BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT MOLECULAR TECHNIQUES AND UNDERSTAND THE WORKING PRINCIPLES OF THE METHODS.
Course Content: USAGE AREAS OF MOLECULAR TECHNIQUES, DNA ISOLATION WITH THE PHENOL CHLOROFORM METHOD, DNA ISOLATION WITH SPIN COLUMN METHOD, PCR, AGAROSE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS, SANGER SEQUENCE, RFLP, RNA ISOLATION BY PHENOL CHLOROFORM METHOD, RNA ISOLATION WITH SPIN COLUMN METHOD, cDNA SYNTHESIS, REAL TIME PCR, NEW GENERATION SEQUENCING
