Our vision is to adopt an interdisciplinary critical understanding to our students and to enrich their scientific knowledge and general cultures; to raise awareness of the social problems inherent in economic, cultural and political inequalities, discrimination and domination relations at national and international level, and to create sensitivity on justice, equality, prosperity, security, visibility and recognition; to raise graduates who are able to offer critical and coherent views on accepted social norms and ideas.
Our mission is to raise sociologists who critically explain and interpret social life’s dynamics of formation, change and transformation both at the local and global dimensions; who possess field research experience; who can generate scientific knowledge; who evaluate and interpret social phenomena with conceptual support via his/ her own mental abilities. The medium of instruction of the program is English, thereby students can closely follow international publications and express themselves in both written and spoken English.
