Department of Neuroscience started the graduate program in 2017 with the approval of the Higher Education Council (YÖK). This multidisciplinary program aims to educate specialists who have general knowledge about neuroscience, to develop presentation skill, to follow scientific developments in the field and to have research knowledge and skills in the field. The program includes elective courses referring to different subjects in neuroscience, with compulsory courses. Students can also choose courses from other Departments and institutes. The language of program is Turkish. An important part of the education and thesis period is carried out at the Neurological Sciences Research and Application Center. The aim of the program is to equip students with basic knowledge about the mechanisms of the nervous system from the molecular level to the behavior and to make it possible to understand the ongoing research in this area and to have the necessary infrastructure to be able to take part in it.
