Program Information

The Department of international relations examines the major actors in the international system, the States, international organizations and non-state actors within the framework of their characteristics, historical backgrounds and interrelationships. The structure and functioning of the institutions forming the states as the main actors, especially foreign policy making processes, political and economic relations constitute the main analysis issues. In order to analyze the multidimensional relations between the states and their collaborations with other actors, from history to economics, from political science to law and from political history to philosophy, many branches of science are used. The primary aim of the Department of international relations is to equip the students with the basic knowledge and scientific point of view of this field and to train them as experts who have a scientific form capable of comprehending and interpreting the international developments in an analytical way.
