| Transitions between programs
ARTICLE 18- (1) A successful student who has completed at least one semester in the graduate program of the Institute or another higher education institution may be accepted to the programs through horizontal transfer. Student admission is made by the decision of the Institute Board of Directors, taking into account the evaluation result of the program.
(2) Transfers between master's and doctoral programs with or without thesis offered under the same department of the university will be announced in the academic calendar at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters, by the decision of the Institute Board of Directors upon the application of the student.
The course is made until the last day of the add-drop period.
(3) The student who transfers from a non-thesis master's program to a thesis master's program pays based on the thesis master's fee for the academic year and/or semester in which he/she is enrolled.
(4) If a student who has been accepted to the doctoral program as an undergraduate graduate wants to transfer to a thesis master's program in the same department, he can apply to transfer to the relevant thesis master's program if he has enough time to complete the program he wants to transfer, considering the time he spent in the doctoral program.
(5) In cases where there is sufficient time to complete the program to be transferred, applications can be made to transfer between non-thesis and thesis master's programs in the same department. If there is not enough time to transfer to a non-thesis master's program, an additional semester may be given to complete the non-thesis master's program, as additional courses and project course obligations must be completed.
