Occupational Profile of Graduates

The occupational law of speech and language therapist, was entered into force in the scope of 6225 numbered law, based on some regulations on the law and decree of law, and published in the official newspaper of Turkish government.

A speech and language therapist is a health professional who is graduated from the departments which give undergraduate education in the field of speech and language pathology or who owns a different bachelor of science degree but completed a graduate/ doctoral programme in the field of speech and language pathology and who works for the prevention of language, speech and voice disorders and also who is responsible for the rehabilitation process of swallowing disorders (diagnosed the specialist doctor) and speech, language disorders.

Speech-Language Pathologists work in a variety of clinical and educational settings: in public and private hospitals, special education centers, universities and private centers.
