Qualifications Requirements and Regulations

The duration of completion of the master's program with thesis is a maximum of six semesters, excluding foreign language preparation and scientific preparation period. However, the student can graduate after three semesters, provided that he/she completes the credit load in the first two semesters and spends at least one semester working on the thesis. Students who successfully complete the credit and non-credit courses prescribed in their program and their thesis are eligible for graduation.

Cyber Security Thesis Master's Program consists of 30 credits (120 ECTS), including 7 credit courses, a seminar course and thesis work.

Students who do not successfully complete the credit courses and seminar courses included in the curriculum at the end of four semesters are dismissed.

Those who cannot successfully complete the thesis master's program within a maximum of three years, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program in which they are registered are given, regardless of whether they are registered for each semester, will be dismissed from the University.

The head of the department of the institute appoints a thesis advisor from the University faculty for each student until the end of the first semester at the latest; It also recommends the thesis topic determined by the student together with the advisor to the Institute by the end of the second semester at the latest. The thesis advisor and thesis topic are finalized by the end of the second semester at the latest, with the approval of the Institute Board of Directors.

The student must enroll in the thesis course every semester during the thesis study, starting from the semester following the appointment of the thesis advisor and the thesis topic. The student's course grade regarding his thesis work is recorded as "DE" in his records until he enters the thesis defense.

If the thesis is accepted by the jury, it is evaluated with a "Pass" grade, and if it is rejected, it is evaluated with a "Failure" grade.
