Course Objectives: | Basic concepts of strategic management, strategic thinking and competitive strategies, strategic theories, how to make situational analysis and how to interpret the results, how to develop, evaluate and choose alternative strategies, how to develop and apply the necessary strategies for the implementation of the chosen strategy. |
Course Content: | Definition of Strategy, strategy in organizations, definition and classification of organizations, the emergence and lack of strategy, organizational systems, the development of strategies in the perspective of organizational theory, the explanation of the basic features of industrial dynamics, corporate and business strategies, the definition of strategies as a process, the definition of strategies as a theory and practice area and classification, strategy schools and value chain concepts. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explain the basic elements of strategic management in health institutions. 2) Gains knowledge about strategy in organizations, the definition and classification of organizations, the emergence and lack of strategy. 3) Explain the development of strategies in the perspective of organizational theory, explain the basic features of industrial dynamics, corporate and business strategies, strategies as processes. 4) Explains strategy schools and strategies as a theory and practice area. 5) Explains the value chain model. |
