Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to gain physical examination skills to determine the needs of the individual/patient and health problems related to these needs. |
Course Content: | Introduction to health assessment, health history taking, physical examination, skin assessment, assessment of activity and exercise, assessment of the musculoskeletal system, assessment of the respiratory system, assessment of the heart and circulatory system, assessment of the excretory system and abdominal examination, assessment of sensation and perception, assessment of sleep and rest. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explains the methods of evaluating the health of a healthy / sick individual. 2) Gains the skills of interviewing healthy / sick individuals and taking health history. 3) Interprets and analyzes the data obtained as a result of the evaluation of a healthy / sick individual. 4) Uses physical examination skills in the evaluation of the body systems of a healthy / sick individual. 5) Makes a physical assessment of a healthy / sick individual with a holistic approach (head-to-toe) |
