Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The course aims to depict the relevance of Turkish-German relations for both sides and their significance. To this end, relations will be discussed in the context of their backgrounds, economic and security concerns and identities as well as ideologies.
Course Content: The aims of this course are examining the historical past between Turkey and Germany, providing the ability to imagine how the relations progressed in the EU process and the current situation. In this direction, the content of the course consists of political, economic and cultural intersections, collaborations and conflicts between Turkey and Germany.

1) Students will learn the Turkish-German relations
2) Students will learn differing approaches of both sides at different stages
3) Students will learn policies in the context of Turkey’s foreign policy against Germany
4) Students will learn current problems in the Turkish-German relations
