Course Objectives: | Students who successfully complete the course will learn how to plan for the solution of specific problems, how to divide them into easily solvable sub-problems, and how to perform coding using Java language with a top-down analysis for solving problems. |
Course Content: | This is a computer programming course in which basic problem-solving concepts are learned. Fundamentals of structural programming are described, together with the design of software problems, algorithm development, and programming techniques using Java language. During the course, students will be able to describe how a computer system behaves in line with the scientific principles that it depends on. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) The student will have learned, the steps involved in creating a program and understanding the elements of a typical program. 2) The student will have learned, the essential concepts of programming techniques. 3) The student will have learned, the nature and function of a high-level language’s constructs and syntax (Java). 4) The student will have learned, the concept of control constructs. 5) The student will have learned, the concept of looping. 6) The student will have learned, key concepts of simple and dynamic data structures. 7) The student will have learned, how functions are constructed and implemented. 8) The student will have learned, a brief account of library functions and user-defined functions. 9) The student will have learned, write a complete program using the different statements of the Java language. |
