Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to inform about the introduction and use of optical instruments and materials to be used in optician applications and establishments. |
Course Content: | Basic elements of optical instruments, binoculars, camera, microscope, lensometer and other optical instruments to be used in opticians, optical instruments for low vision |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows the basic elements of optical instruments. 2) Knows the basic characteristics of optical instruments. 3) Recognizes optical instruments used in low vision and has information about the working mechanism. 4) Comprehends the optical structure of binoculars and camera and has information about their usage areas. 5) Comprehends the optical structure of the microscope and has information about its usage areas. 6) Knows optical structure, types and working principle of focalometer and pupillameter. 7) Knows optical instruments and materials to be used in optician applications and establishments. 8) Knows the usage areas of ophthalmic optical instruments. |
