Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Introducing career methods to help students adapt to the rapidly changing economic, social, cultural, ethical and legal conditions of the business world and to gain the ability to adapt them to their own lives. As the highly motivated employees who can predict the future, know what is waiting for them, determine their goals, and aim to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and equipment to devote themselves to their jobs.
Course Content: Career concept, career planning and stages,Individual career development, developing a personal career strategy,Career planning model, career options related to teaching fields; Preparing a curriculum vitae (CV) and types of résumé, CV format and examples, Important points to keep in minds while preparing a CV, Make cover letters for resumes introducing theirselves, promotional letters, methods and types of job interview preparation to job interview, and stages, Situations that may be encountered in interviews; Question types, body language signs.

Program Outcomes
1) Carries out the necessary works in order to create a healthy and safe environment in the workplace in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Law and the current legislation.
2) Identify hazards in the workplace, analyze risks, and provide solutions according to the risk control hierarchy.
3) Makes the periodic control, maintenance, repair and the necessary measurements to be made in the workplace. Enables the implementation of plans.
4) Knows effective presentation techniques. Provides occupational safety training in different sectors.
5) Provides information and recommendations to the employer regarding the selection, supply, use, maintenance and testing of appropriate personal protective equipment.
6) Know which risk assessment methodology to choose in an organization. And minimizes risk according to the method or methods chosen.
7) Prepares an emergency plan and action plan attached to it. Make the necessary exercises. Creates teams with the necessary equipment.
8) Ensures high efficiency and safety at every stage of production and regulates according to occupational and employee health rules.
9) Conducts inspection and research, organizes action plans and ensures implementation in order to prevent recurrence of occupational accidents and diseases occurring in the workplace.
10) Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
11) Knows professional responsibilities and ethical values.
12) Reporting risk assessment and emergency plans.
13) Adopts continuous improvement, aims to keep the risk to the lowest value
14) Uses information and communication technologies along with computer software at a basic level of at least European computer license required by the field.
15) Monitors the developments in the field and communicates with colleagues by using a foreign language at A2 general level in terms of European language portfolio criteria according to educational level.
