Course Objectives: | Representation Techniques is a course designed to teach technical drawing and visual expression in architecture using both analogue and digital methods. This course aims to establish the necessary skills and technical know-how for creating formal architectural representation, over the course of 14 weeks, students will be introduced to various techniques, shown multiple examples and presentations, and will be expected to complete a challenging set of assignments spread over multiple projects. |
Course Content: | The Course includes, how to transform the ideas of design in 2 and 3 dimensional drawing techniques. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Skill of using the drawing materials. 2) Expression of forms by drawing plan, section and elevation in ortographic techniques. Drawings of 3D spaces in 2 dimensionsal and 3 dimensional perspectives in the suitable scales. 3) Skills of transforming the design idea in linear drawings and visual graphical techniques. 4) Skills of scale concept and teaching the drawing techniques in different scales. 5) Transformation of design idea to technical drawing standards and to give the project dimensions in drawing. 6) Skills of understanding the technical projects and drawings in different scales. 7) To work planned and organized in digital environment |
