Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To develop the analysis level and equipment of the participants who are equipped to read and research in the field of Political Science and International Relations.
Course Content: It is ensured that the participants are prepared for the discussions on the previous and future readings on the studies done in the field of international relations and political science week by week. The skills and self-expression skills of the participants are developed with the assignments/presentation techniques to be done in this course on current reading and research in the changing international relations and political science field.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) In this course, the candidate knows advanced reading and discussion techniques.
2) Knows and discusses the classical texts written in the field of international relations.
3) Defines the concepts of class, state and power from the necessary debates in the field of Political Science and defines the debates in Turkey over these concepts.
4) By doing the necessary research on a question depending on the education and equipment she/he has received, she will have the ability to research a discussion in depth on the basis of that question and to discuss it within the group
5) Focusing on a subject and field, he/she has the knowledge and equipment to prepare articles and projects on projects and research. Can manage the project and article preparation process.

Course Flow Plan

1) The functioning of the seminar course and expectations are discussed. The participant comes up with preparations about the contents of the undergraduate courses.

3) Actors and Organizations in International Relations International Relations courses should be read
4) Theories on the state and early state debates It is recommended to come to class after reading.
5) Modernization theories and methods of comparison Participation should be ensured by making a modernization reading
6) Conflict and competition theories over development and underdevelopment debates Must have been read
7) The participant presents his/her question and presents a proposal outline for his/her work.

4) Evaluate and discuss the events in interdisciplinary dimension, acquire knowledge and skills, conduct research using social sciences methods and follow the field
5) Political and social processes that take place in Turkey and in the world, able to solve problems and the causes of these problems, on the relationship of citizens with political structures reveals scientifically.
6) Uses leadership characteristics in the field of political science and International Relations with the consciousness of team work.
7) Designs and prepares scientific studies such as theoretical or experimental projects, reports, articles and theses, either on their own or with others, and uses qualitative and quantitative research techniques related to their field.
