Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To practice the principles of aircraft maintenance
Course Content: Tools and kits, springs and bearings, pipes and hoses, material maintenance, defect types, parts removal and installation procedures

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows the tools and equipment used in the aircraft
2) Knows Engineering Drawings, Diagrams and Standards
3) Recognizes and knows measuring tools, material maintenance
4) Inspection of springs and bearings, welding coating, soldering.
5) Knows Pipes and Hoses, error types
6) Disassembly and assembly techniques and procedures

5) Manufacture of Pipes and Hoses
6) Springs. Inspection and testing of springs.
7) Bearings. Testing, cleaning and inspection of bearings. Lubrication requirements of bearings. Damages in bearings and their causes.
8) MIDTERM EXAM
9) Welding plating soldering and bonding. Soldering methods. Checking soldered connections.
10) Inspection of gear jacks, lever devices, push-pull rod systems
11) Material Care, plate metals, marking, bending, forming, inspection of plate metal processes.
12) Error types and inspection techniques. Corrosion cleaning, assessment and reoccurrence prevention procedures.
13) Error types and inspection techniques. Corrosion cleaning, assessment and deprotection procedures.
14) Disassembly - assembly techniques.
15) Final Exam

1) To have theoretical and practical knowledge at the basic level supported by textbooks, application tools and other sources with current knowledge in the field based on the qualifications gained at the secondary level.
