Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To give general information about the period of Khwarezm-Kipchak Turkish in Turkish Language History, to introduce the language features of the period and major literary figures, to read selected texts from literary works written in this field. To teach how to translate these texts into modern Turkish, to make grammatical studies on the same texts.
Course Content: The basic concepts and characteristics of Khwarezm-Kipchak Turkish and the main texts and authors of the period will be taught.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Can learn phonetic and morphology, periods and structural features of Khwarezm-Kipchak Turkish
2) Can read and interpret the texts of Khwarezm-Kipchak Turkish
3) Can prepare a scientific paper using Khwarezm-Kipchak Turkish texts

5) Uses Turkish in terms of intonation and emphasis aesthetically; writes accurate, comprehensible, effective articles in terms of spelling and punctuation.

7) Understands the historical and modern Turkish texts written with different alphabets, transmits them to modern Turkish.

10) Examine and evaluate the Turkish works in the social and cultural context.
11) Uses a foreign language at B1 General Level at least in terms of European Language Portfolio criteria.
12) Makes interpretation, commentary, interpretation, analysis and analysis by using traditional methods used in understanding, explaining and interpreting the old Turkish literature texts.
13) Uses philological, etymological and semantic approaches to understanding texts.
14) Respects social, cultural and individual differences, universal values ​​and human rights in scientific and professional activities.
