Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To comprehend the literary texts of Turkish literature developed between the 16-19th centuries.
Course Content: Turkish literature developed between the 16-19thcenturies, the lives and works of the poets and writers living in this period, social and political life of the period, interpretation of verse and prose texts of the period

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Can recognize the main figures of Turkish literature developed between the 16-19th centuries.
2) Can give information about the works of poets and writers living in this period.
3) Can comprehend the effects of social and political events on literature in this period.
4) Can give information about the movements in literature during this period.
5) Can understand and explain literary texts written in this period.

4) 16th century. mesnevi literature. Kara Fazli, Azeri Ibrahim Celebi, Hakani, Cinani, Hamdi and Lami'i Larendeli
5) 16th century. prose literature. Dates and tezkires.
6) General Information about 17th Century Turkish Literature

1) Knows grammatical features of Turkish language.
2) Have knowledge of examining the properties of Turkish within the framework of universal linguistics rules.
3) Establishes the relationship between language and literature, active writing and interpretation activities.
4) Uses computer software, and information and communication technologies at least at the European Computer Driving License Basic Level.
5) Uses Turkish in terms of intonation and emphasis aesthetically; writes accurate, comprehensible, effective articles in terms of spelling and punctuation.

7) Understands the historical and modern Turkish texts written with different alphabets, transmits them to modern Turkish.

14) Respects social, cultural and individual differences, universal values ​​and human rights in scientific and professional activities.
