Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to teach students basic of translation and translation theories, methods and terminology
Course Content: Introduction to the profession of translation and interpretation, types of translation, translation processes, translation strategies, introduction to basic concepts such as quality control in translation. Gaining familiarity with the theoretical and practical nature of translation.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To know the profession of translation and the concept of professional ethics
2) To have knowledge about translation processes
3) To know the importance of the concept of quality control in translation
4) To know the strategy and translation tools in translation processes
