Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is to learn the information that will increase the mother's comfort during and after the birth and to gain skills in this regard
Course Content: This course includes legal process in birth preparation education, history of birth preparation, materials that can be used in birth preparation classes, knowing and understanding philosophies, relaxation exercises that can be applied during pregnancy, their application, understanding the birth and nature of birth, supporting fathers at birth, mother-father-baby bonding and interaction, mother in preparation for cesarean section, understanding the importance of baby-friendly cesarean section, having knowledge and skills in first breastfeeding

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Know the philosophies of preparation for birth in the world from the past to the present.
2) Explains the physiology of childbirth and fear of childbirth.
3) Knows the methods of coping with birth pain.
4) Can support the mother during the birth and postpartum period.
5) Explain the natural methods of birth applied in the world
6) Will be able to explain the historical development and the types of prep class in childbirth class.
