Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To have knowledge and skills about internal diseases and care in pregnancy, to identify the problems in internal diseases and to give the ability to make appropriate attempts to plan.
Course Content: Following the learning of the basic concepts of internal medicine knowledge, carrying out the care of internal patients, getting the theoretical and application skills necessary for the maintenance of homeostasis in the course and hospital environment

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Define the basic concepts related to internal medicine nursing. It identifies the risk factors of the diseases and the risk groups and determines the deviation from health.
2) It can meet abnormal electrolyte requirements and maintenance requirements of liquid electrolyte and acid-base balance
3) Recognize the stress response in the patient and make appropriate interventions.
4) Takes part in the diagnosis, follow-up and treatment of the shocked patients and meets the care needs of the patient in this process.
5) Describe hematologic and oncologic diseases, explain the care of these diseases and apply and evaluate care for their problems.
6) Define oncological diseases, explain the care of these diseases and apply and evaluate care for their problems.
7) Has sufficient knowledge and skills about systemic diseases, carries out the treatment and care of the patient, is able to identify the problems, produce solutions and apply appropriate initiatives with skill.
8) Knows and educates primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of diseases.
9) Use the information in patient care.
10) Gain ability to think critically and analytically by synthesizing information.
11) Healthy / sick individual has a holistic approach.
12) Physically, psychologically and socially, the individual gives holistic care
