Course Objectives: | Students perform internships with the anesthesia team in the operating rooms of hospitals for 20 working days. Aim; First of all, by observing the applications made in the field, participating in the applications one-to-one under the supervision of the field supervisors, ensuring the permanent learning of the applications made with an inquiring perspective. It is aimed to learn information about patient admission, monitoring, application areas of anesthesia, duties, authorities and responsibilities of anesthesia technician, types of anesthesia and anesthetic agents. |
Course Content: | The student will see the theoretical and practical applications learned in the first year in the real hospital environment and will be able to transfer what they have learned into practice. The student documents his internship with the internship book. Internship applications lasting 20 working days are written in the internship notebook as observation notes on a daily basis. The student should learn the practices with their justifications and comprehend the process holistically. In this context, they should obtain practical information from physicians, nurses and technicians in the field. Internship evaluation is carried out in the 3rd semester. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) He/She applies cardiovascular system monitoring. 2) He/She describes the properties of the application areas of the anesthesia, preoperative evaluation, fluid-electrolyte balance, acid-base balance and blood gas evaluation. 3) He/She describes the anesthetic procedures in intensive care. 4) He/She explains , anesthesia and circulatory physiology, the effects of anesthetic agents on the circulatory system. 5) He/She has information about the application of anesthetic agents in cardiovascular system diseases. |
