Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course is designed to help you develop an understanding and awareness of the fundamentals of management and the way organisations behave, providing students with an overview of the field of management and insights into the concept of organisation structure. By understanding how management theory has developed and exploring the four basic elements of management: planning, organising, leading and controlling and how organisations use their scarce resources to achieve their objectives.
Course Content: Bu ders temel yönetim ve işletmecilik kavramları; örgütsel çevre ve değişkenleri, yönetimin tarihsel bir süreçte geçirdiği aşamalar ve günümüze yansımaları, yönetsel fonksiyonlar ve güncel yönetim uygulamalarını kapsamaktadır.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows management and related concepts, can explain the relationships between them 2) Understand the evolutionary process of management theories and make connections 3) Explains the main components of the internal and external environments of business, their impact, importance and influence on an organisation. 4) Explains how decisions are made in an organisation, including the types of decisions to be made, problem definition and various decision-making approaches. 5) Understands management functions 6) Defines basic business concepts, principles and values that contribute to organisational performance. 7) Reveals the subsystems within the business and the relationships between them 8) Knows post-modern management concepts

2) Defines contemporary developments, approaches and basic concepts in the field of International Relations at national and international level.
3) Relates the interaction of the Department of International Relations with other social sciences (history, political science, law, economy).
4) Gains knowledge and skills to evaluate and discuss the events in an interdisciplinary dimension, and analyze the political, social and economic problems encountered in national and international contexts within a certain conceptual framework.
5) Using social sciences methods, can conduct research and follow the field.
6) Uses leadership characteristics with awareness of teamwork.
7) Can design and prepare scientific projects such as projects, reports, articles and theses with their own or others with uses qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
8) Develops behavior according to ethics and social values and evaluates what they have learned by deciding what he/she needs and critically question the information has acquired.
9) Transmits the opinions, thoughts and solutions in the field of International Relations to the related persons and institutions in written and orally.
