Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To evaluate and research architectural thought independently of Western-centered perspectives; to incorporate architectural approaches from different cultures and geographies into the practice of historical and contemporary architectural thought.
Course Content: Readings of postcolonial and decolonial theory; evaluating them in relation to architectural thought; researching architectural approaches from different cultures and geographies.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To produce architectural thought with the use of interdisciplinary approaches
2) To produce global and decolonial architectural approaches
3) To be able to produce academic research through use of appropriate vocabulary.
