Course Objectives: | To gain the knowledge and skills to recognize and manage life-threatening complications of the mother and baby during the prenatal, birth and postnatal periods, in organizations that provide Basic and Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care services, by taking into account the rights of those who provide and receive services with a team approach. |
Course Content: | Definition of the Emergency Obstetric Care System, Quality Approach in Emergency Obstetric Care Services, User Rights, Service Standards and Team Approach in Service Delivery, Communication and Consultancy in Emergency Obstetric Care, Approach to Solving Obstetric Problems, Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy and their management, Early and Late Pregnancy Complications, Bleeding Management in Pregnancy (Mild, Moderate, Heavy and Postpartum Bleeding Management) Fever and Infection Management in Emergency Obstetric Care, Safe Blood Transfusion, Management of Non-Progressive Labor, Genetic and Prenatal Diagnosis Methods, Fetal Health Evaluation, Health Problems Affecting the Prenatal Period, Use of Partograph in Birth Monitoring, Neonatal Emergencies. Includes management and Obstetric Triage. |
