Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed for the doctoral student taking this course to understand the birth and postpartum periods in terms of urogynecological effects, to take the necessary precautions for urogynecological problems that will develop, and to evaluate the health problems arising from pelvic floor failure in terms of midwifery care.
Course Content: It covers the topics of understanding pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods in terms of urogynecological effects, taking the necessary precautions for urogynecological problems that will develop, and evaluating health problems arising from pelvic floor failure in terms of midwifery care.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Must have knowledge about diagnostic tests and treatment used in urogynecology.
2) Must be able to express urinary incontinence type, frequency, risk factors and classification.
3) Be able to explain and interpret the effects of pregnancy and birth on the pelvic floor
4) Must be able to design training programs for healthy/sick individuals and health professionals in the field of urogynecology or plan/conduct original research on this subject.
