Course Objectives: | The purpose of the Architecture Practice course is to provide students with an understanding of the practical aspects of the architecture profession and to develop their skills in working effectively in this field. The aim of the course is to equip students with professional skills while emphasizing ethical values and sustainability principles, encouraging them to work in future architectural projects in a more conscious and responsible manner. |
Course Content: | The main objectives of the course may include one or more of the following: Fundamental Principles of Architectural Practice: Providing basic knowledge about the organizational structure, hierarchy, and functioning of architectural offices. Project Management Skills: Developing skills in planning, budgeting, managing, and evaluating architectural projects. Construction Management and Oversight: Understanding the construction process, gaining knowledge in construction management, safety, and oversight. Legal Knowledge and Professional Ethics: Increasing awareness of architectural contracts, legal responsibilities, and professional ethical standards. Technology and Digital Skills: Improving skills in using technological tools such as computer-aided design (CAD), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other digital applications. Sustainable Architecture: Understanding the principles of sustainable design and acquiring knowledge about green building practices. Preparation for the Future: Being informed about current trends in the architecture sector and preparing for future developments. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Basic Principles of Architectural Practice: Organization of architectural offices can be carried out. Defines the basic concepts and terminology in architectural practice. Adopting the principles of ethics and professionalism. 2) Project Management and Planning Skills: Effectively plan, budget and manage architectural projects. Having the necessary skills to monitor and evaluate project processes. To improve their ability to use resources efficiently. 3) Technology and Sustainability Information: To be able to use technological tools such as computer-aided design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Understanding and applying sustainable design principles. To follow current technological trends in the architectural sector and to use these technologies effectively. |
