Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is expected that all the components of the field of logistics will be presented in a theoretical sense. In addition, the main objective is to teach logistics activities, techniques and methods used in the sector.
Course Content: This lecture introduces the historical development of logistics, the fundamentals and principles of modern logistics and its importance in management organisation.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) The history and importance of logistics is examined.
2) Basic logistics activities and transport modes have been analysed.
3) The advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing in logistics management are analysed. In addition, 3PL, 4PL and new concepts in logistics are analysed.
4) The use of information systems in logistics management is examined.
5) The concept of competition in logistics is analysed.
6) Logistics strategies are analysed.
7) The concepts of e-logistics, green logistics, reverse logistics, lean logistics and halal logistics have been learned.
8) The importance of disaster logistics and health logistics has been learned.
