Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to teach the basic concepts of public finance, the place of the public in economic relations, and the concepts and theories of public services and public expenditures. To provide competence in how to use the public sector effectively and efficiently while fulfilling the economic, financial and social duties of the state. |
Course Content: | Purpose and Scope of Public Finance, Relationship of Public with Economy, Structure of Public Sector in Turkey, Goods and Services Produced by Public, Public Expenditures and Public Debt, Public Revenue and Public Budget, Behavioral Approach to Public Finance, Purpose and Tools of Fiscal Policy, Definition of Tax and Theoretical Foundations, Financial and Non-Financial Purposes of Tax, Elements and Classification of Tax, Economic Effects of Taxes. |
