Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course for each student;
The aim of the course is to enable the students to define the basic concepts about health and the conditions affecting health, to define the roles of health professionals in planning and directing the services for the protection and promotion of health and to learn the preventive physiotherapy services.
Course Content: The role of physiotherapist in public health, protective physiotherapy methods, community based physiotherapy and rehabilitation concepts.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Define health, basic concepts of health, all conditions affecting health.
2) Identify the institutional and social structure in health protection and promotion.
3) Identify target groups and their services in protective health services.
4) Will be able to explain the role of health workers in public health.
5) Compare protective services at different stages of health service.
