Program Information
| The Textile and Fashion Design Master's Program with Thesis, which started accepting students in the Fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, is conducted in Turkish. The Textile and Fashion Design Master's Program with Thesis aims to train designers who can produce contemporary, creative, and original designs for the textile, ready-to-wear, and fashion industries; evaluate pioneering ideas that shape fashion; and have expertise in materials and production techniques. The curriculum is designed with an approach that enables students to develop their personal traits and skills, offering creative and original solutions by synthesizing form, color, material, structure, and function in a manner that aligns with their individuality. The program integrates the disciplines of weaving, printing, and garment design, allowing students to engage with them simultaneously. It enriches the fields of weaving, printing, garment design, and fashion design from artistic, cultural, professional, and technical perspectives. Students complete the program by conducting a thesis study under the guidance of an academic advisor, which is evaluated by a jury. Upon successful completion of the credit-based courses and the thesis, and meeting the conditions specified in the Graduate Education and Teaching Regulations of İstinye University, students are awarded a Master's degree in Textile and Fashion Design with Thesis. |
