| This undergraduate program of English Translation and Interpreting is designed to give the students the basic insight of translating and interpreting as well as major them in their professional field. It includes courses covering the main types of translating and interpreting, practical areas and project works for common business areas. Translation and interpreting practice and analysis constitute a significant part of the undergraduate program. Students are also offered courses in English literature, linguistics, foreign language teaching methods, social sciences, academic English and other elective foreign language courses. We aim to enable our graduates to become an intellectual world citizen by keeping on their own self-development in different fields in addition to the expertness in their field. The undergraduate program prepares its graduates for jobs in various fields. Translation and interpretation in technique, literature and social fields, media (TV and newspaper journalism), publishing, advertising, public relations, human resources, English teaching are among the fields where the graduates can find jobs.
