Course Objectives: |
The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the various disciplines' understanding of time, with a focus on physics and biology, and how this understanding relates to how humans perceive the progression of existence. We'll talk about ideas like aging, the multiverse, the arrow of time, and embryonic development. The views on time expressed by the arts, such as music, painting, and literature, will also be discussed. Lastly, we will investigate how humans estimate time using both our own genes and artificial gadgets that we have created over the past few centuries. |
