Course Objective and Content
| Course Objectives: | To introduce antipsychotics, antidepressants, anxiolytics and other drugs used in the treatment of psychological disorders. However, it is aimed to examine the use of these drugs. At the same time, it is aimed to look at the effects, indications, contraindications and side effects of drugs from both medical, behavioral and cognitive perspectives. |
| Course Content: | Drugs, chemical treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders, underlying brain mechanisms, effectiveness of drug and biological interventions. |
Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Will be able to explain the basic principles of psychopharmacology. 2) Will be able to describe the effects of different substances on the nervous system. 3) Will be able to explain the interaction between different types of substances and neurotransmitters. 4) They will be able to explain the interaction between different types of substances and neurotransmitters. 5) Will be able to discuss the indications and contraindications of drugs used in different psychopathologies. |
