Course Objectives: | The aim of this course; To understand the theoretical and conceptual foundations of measurement in psychology and to relate and use the principles and techniques related to the theoretical foundations of measurement with the test development/adaptation process. |
Course Content: | Concepts used in psychological evaluation, basic concepts of measurement and evaluation, use of measurement tools and historical development, measuring intelligence, abilities and superiority, ethical and legal issues in measurement and evaluation. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Students who successfully complete the course are expected to learn aims and targets of psychological tests 2) Students who successfully complete the course are expected to learn application methods and forms of psychological tests 3) Students who successfully complete the course are expected to learn to gain the ability to evaluate and report the results of psychological tests 4) Students who successfully complete the course are expected to learn necessary calculations for validity and reliability 5) Students who successfully complete the course are expected to learn tthical rules about measurement and evaluation in psychology 6) Students who successfully complete the course are expected to learn to be able to develop a simple scale for research purposes by following the stages of developing a psychological measurement tool. |
