| Dersin Amacı: | • Felsefeye dair genel bir bakış açısına sahip olmak. • Felsefe yaparken kullanılan yöntemleri ve araçları anlamak. 3. Felsefi argümanları formüle etmek için kullanılan araçları anlamak • Argüman değerlendirme ve eleştirisinde kullanılan araçları kavramak • Felsefe ve felsefe yapmanın standart yöntemlerine yönelik eleştirilere aşina olmak. • Felsefe yapmanın temel özelliklerini belirlemek: merak, sorgulama ve argümantasyon |
| Dersin İçeriği: | Felsefe, merak etme fırsatını ve şeylerin durumunda onaylanan fikirleri, bilgiyi ve değerleri ve bu onaylarla olan ilişkimizi sorgulama fırsatını temsil eder. Ayrıca felsefe, öznelerinin yaşadıkları dünya hakkında, felsefe deneyimi aracılığıyla, artık felsefe yapmadan önce aynı şekilde düşünemeyecekleri şekilde soru sorabilmeleri ve merak edebilmeleri için eğitim alanlarını açar. Bu ders felsefeye kapsamlı bir giriş yapmak için beş iç içe geçmiş konu kümesi etrafında yapılandırılmıştır: • felsefeyi ve felsefe tarihi ile felsefe yapmak arasındaki farkı anlamak • Herakleitos, Platon, Aristoteles, Epiktetos, Hegel ve Heidegger'in eserleri de dâhil olmak üzere Batı felsefe geleneğinden veya Batı felsefe tarihinden merkezi metinlerle felsefe yapmak • felsefenin ve felsefe yapmanın birey, diğer disiplinler ve toplum için değeri • ahlaki ikilemlerle felsefe yapmak • bir sanat eseriyle felsefe yapmak (bir resim, heykel, şiir, müzik parçası sorgulama için bir araç olabilir) |

Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayabilen öğrenciler;
1) Öğrenciler felsefenin temel sorularıyla tanışarak felsefeye dair genel bir tanım verebilmelidir. 2) • Felsefenin standart yöntemlerine yönelik eleştirileri kavrayabilmeli, değerlendirebilmeli ve karşılaştırabilmelidir. 3) • Felsefedeki temel kavramları bulabilmeli ve açıklayabilmelidir. 4) • Felsefe yapmanın temel özelliklerini felsefenin temel sorularıyla vurgulayabilmelidir. 5) • Felsefi temel soruları vurgulayarak felsefeyi ve felsefe yapmayı tanımlayabilmelidir. 6) • Argüman değerlendirmesinde ve eleştirisinde kullanılan araçları anlayıp uygulayabilmelidir. |
