Course Objectives: | The objective of the course is to explore the possibilities and limitations of the concept of 'urban interior' within the context of current debates, both in theoretical terms and in its physical manifestations. It enables students to closely observe and critically examine the concept in relation to the environment, while staying within the framework of this concept |
Course Content: | The course focuses on the possibilities arising from the conceptual complexity resulting from the juxtaposition of the ideas of "city" and "interior space". Through this juxtaposition, the definitions of city and interior space become ambiguous. In the course, a materialistic approach serves as a means to perceive, articulate, experience, trace the trajectory, observe the process, and generate new concepts for urban interior spaces. In addition to theoretical discussions, field studies are conducted within the scope of the course, and the conceptual relationship is examined through direct participation in the city. |
The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Skills of making conceptual and theoretical discussions 2) Transforming bodily experience into knowledge 3) Ability to analyze urban ecology 4) Making deep studies on spatiality 5) Visualisation of the conceptual data |
