Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: By enabling the student to recognize the cultural characteristics and cultural changes of the society they live in; It aims to teach approaches to transcultural midwifery care by emphasizing the importance of transcultural midwifery care primarily in the protection and development of women, newborns and children, and secondarily in family and community health.
Course Content: Society, culture, culture and health, the relationship between the concepts of health-disease and culture, value, belief and spirituality, the concepts of spirituality and religion, the concept of spiritual distress and spiritual pain, the scope and properties of culture, value, belief, spirituality in terms of human life and midwifery. importance, culture, value, belief, effects of spirituality on health, illness and life events, importance of spiritual care, evaluation of culture, value, belief and spirituality, evaluation of the effects of culture, value and belief, spiritual characteristics on health, culture, value, belief in midwifery care and the importance of spiritual care.
