Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed to provide knowledge and skills to protect and improve the health of women, fetuses and newborns in the perinatal period and to plan appropriate midwifery care in early diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation stages in cases where their health deviates from normal.
Course Content: It covers the risks and complications that develop in the perinatal period and their management and midwifery care.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Knows the complications that pose risks in the perinatal period
2) Provides midwifery care with the most up-to-date evidence-based practices in the management of high-risk pregnancies
3) Can scan national and international guidelines and guidelines for risky pregnancies and integrate the acquired knowledge into the care given
