Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It aims to provide knowledge and skills about the concepts of genetics, genetic diseases, prevention, diagnosis and treatment methods, and genetic counseling.
Course Content: It covers common genetic diseases, screening diagnostic methods, prenatal genetic diagnosis, midwife counseling in fetal anomalies.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To know screening and diagnosis methods of common genetic diseases
2) To be able to discuss prenatal genetic diagnosis methods
3) To provide counseling and midwifery care to pregnant women diagnosed with fetal anomaly
