Course Objectives: | THE AIM OF THIS COURSE IS TO GAIN INFORMATION ABOUT THE MOLECULAR TECHNIQUES USED IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF GENETIC DISEASES, TO LEARN THE WORKING PRINCIPLES OF THE METHODS, TO KNOW THE EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE STAGES AND TO EVALUATE THE OBTAINED DATA. |
Course Content: | USE OF PHENOL CHLOROFORM METHOD IN DNA ISOLATION, USE OF SPIN COLUMN METHOD IN DNA ISOLATION, USE OF MAGNETIC BEADS IN DNA ISOLATION, PCR AND MOST USED PCR TYPES, AGAROSE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS METHOD, SANGER SEQUENCE METHOD AND ITS AREAS OF USE, RFLP METHOD AND ITS USE AREAS, RNA TRACE PHENOL CHLOROFORM AND USE OF SPIN COLUMN METHOD, CDNA SYNTHESIS AND REAL TIME PCR TECHNIQUES AND AREAS OF USE, USE OF ACGH AND MLPA TECHNIQUES IN GENETIC DIAGNOSIS, NEW GENERATION SEQUENCING METHODS AND COMPARISON OF ALL SEQUENCING METHODS, METHODS USED IN MIRNA ISOLATION |
