Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge and skills about the definition, classification, screening and treatment of autism spectrum disorders and childhood language disorders.
Course Content: General information about childhood language and disorders; up-to-date information and therapy methods; It includes interventions and approaches.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Evaluates childhood language disorders,
2) Explain the diagnosis, screening and rehabilitation processes of childhood language disorders.
3) Gains knowledge of clinical diagnosis and screening for autism, genetic syndromes and rare diseases.
4) Learn about the cognitive, sensory and linguistic profile of individuals with ASD.
5) Gains knowledge of interventions for children with impairment in different settings.

1) Develop and deepen the current and advanced knowledge in the field with original thought and/or research and come up with innovative definitions based on Master's degree qualifications.
