Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The course aims to examine the traces of infrastructure and upper structures and settlements of Istanbul with a geographical perspective that includes history, culture and economy.
Course Content: This course is organized to introduce the built environment of Istanbul, within a geographical perspective supported site trips and readings.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Ability to develop relationship between geography and built environment
2) Ability to understand historical, cultural and economic factors affecting built environment in relationship to geography
