Course Objectives: | Information on the definition and field of psychooncology, basic information on cancer disease, treatment options of cancer patients, psychological elements of cancer disease, prevention and treatment of the psychological effects of cancer disease are acquired. |
Course Content: | Detailed and in-depth information about Psycho-oncology as a sub-field of psychology. Teaching the methods to be used in coping with psychological factors such as denial, anger, death and anxiety in patients diagnosed with cancer. Examination of possible personality, behavior, intellectual and emotional changes that may occur with the effects of cancer. |
