Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To enable students to have knowledge about public health and health promotion, to explain the knowledge they have acquired conceptually and to gain discussion skills.
Course Content: The concept of public health, its development, important public health problems, global public health practices, health promotion are the main topics of this course.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Explain the concept of public health and its historical development.
2) To be able to list the priority public health problems
3) To be able to discuss health promotion practices
4) To be able to make suggestions for the improvement of public health in Turkey.
