Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to have knowledge and skills about sports for the disabled.
Course Content: It includes concepts such as information about disabled sports, sports branches and physical activity.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To have knowledge about concepts such as disabled sports branches and physical activity
2) Identify and analyze problems in disability sport using basic information
3) Performs physical fitness tests for disability groups of people with disabilities and directs them to the most appropriate sports branches.
4) Plans research on sports activities that disabled people can do, interprets the results of their studies and writes the report abput that studies.
5) As a team member, the physiotherapist works multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary, communicates effectively and reflects individual skills and responsibilities to group work.

1) Applies the methods for clinical applications and academic studies in the field of Sports Physiotherapy to a new field, plans, conducts, conducts original research, analyzes and reports with appropriate methods. 3
2) Uses the methods and technological tools and equipment required by the field. Transfers the knowledge at the level of evidence obtained as a result of scientific research to their applications. It publishes its results in national and international refereed journals and makes presentations at scientific meetings. 2
3) It adheres to ethical standards in the process of conducting and publishing its research and realizes the principles of lifelong learning. 2
4) It uses the knowledge in the field of Sports Physiotherapy for the benefit of the society and contributes to the national and international policies that improve public health. 1
